| Id Laberynth: Writings, Mentality, Recovery
|
| This section of Writings, Mentality, Racovery is easily described as POETRY. During meditations, and an accupuncture group I was in, I was able to explore how I felt at that moment in time. Some writings came out in brief poems and others came out in a one or two page philosophical look at a specific issue I was looking at at the time.
This is the Peotry section, the links above will take you to the other sections of the book:

| INTRO
The writings in this section were all written in various stages of development through my gaining a sober life. I have found that having a clean mind I can think and express myself in a way that I haven't been able to in many a year. Over the months since I have first gotten sober, I have written some of these writings in manic times, depressed times, times of love, times of loneliness, and many in a serch for God. Most of these writtings have been described as poetry; all I know is whatever they are defined as, they come from the heart, and a sedate mind frame from meditation.

| There is a knowledge within myself
That no one comfirms nor denies.
Only I hold the key that unlocks this knowledge.
This truth is given me by the grace of God,
that His light shines through me for His glory.
This is my belief, though seemingly buried deep down inside.
Serinity is the practice of bringing my hidden belief to light.
The closer to the surface it rise, the more serene I become.
Patience is the journey from what is buried,
to what is brought to light
One comes, another goes. I still remain, I will remain
I will prevail. I cannot be defeated
I will do my best to stand by my principles andmy values
For I believe in my God
Another's ways are not my ways. Anothers being is not my being
I follow only my God
I can stop what I choose to stop and do what I choose to do
I can be what I choose to be, because
I am what I am! Nothing more, not too proud
Nothing less, not too humble
No more will I surrender myself to the will of another
The truth is my will, God is my Lord
Life is my goal, my journey, and my destination.

(A Desire of the Heart)

|
I look to the Heavens with a fire in my heart,
Finally finding that new love, hope in that one true love,
A new beacon of light to shineon the heavens with.
For a new immortality of oneness in companionship.
My wish would be to take you far away,
fly us through the heavens on high.
Tonight, being one night, that shines on bright.
As we share in this one night that closes one day.
Each new day brings it's own new evening.
Bringing its own new blesing of togetherness.
We are stars to rise on the night,
Crossing the sky, to rise and fall in the night,
A repeated night of immorality to shine on bright.
To destroy a singlenes, for oneness from two
Brings a beauty only felt by the lonliness of each.
For the one leaves themselves for another, completing a circle,
A circle being never ending, ever immortal.
May we, The New Two In One, shine on the heavens so bright,
Bringing death to lonliness and immortality to companionship,
Forever immortal in and of each other.
For tonight we are stars that shine on bright.
May our God bless this oneness of light
To shine the heavens immortally together.
